Fleet Happy New Year!

All of us at ReRun hope you had a wonderful holiday season and wish you and yours a year of health, happiness, and achievement in your personal goals.

We too look forward to a year of great success in giving retired racehorses a second chance at new lives. Of all the goals we've set for 2012, however, none can be attained unless we first make substantial progress in finding good homes for our hard-to-place horses.

ReRun's limited-riding and companion horses are in desperate need of suitable homes. They make up over 70% of our program population and equally deserve spending the rest of their days with a loving family.

We know the homes are out there somewhere, but with our limited resources we simply don't have the reach needed to scour the country for homes.

Here is where you can make a very real difference in the life of an ex-racer. Become an Advocate for one of our Thoroughbreds. Simply use your eyes, ears, and connections to identify potential homes for the ReRun horse you want to help.

Look to your family members, friends, friends of friends, and neighbors; people at your office, club, or church; horse farms and equine-assisted programs in your area; homes you drive by that have one horse and a run-in shed in a big pasture—Ask all of these people if they are willing and able to provide a good permanent home for your ReRun racehorse.

Please, help make 2012 the year your favorite retired Thoroughbred finds his or her forever home.
